The CPT must be renewed every two years, and the process is straightforward, per NHA.

How long is the CPT valid?

Two years. If you don’t renew, the certification expires.

What renewal requires

  • 10 continuing-education (CE) credits completed within the two-year period.
  • A $179 renewal fee.
  • Submission of your renewal through your NHA account.

Stay current the easy way

NHA offers CE that posts directly to your account, so you can chip away at the 10 credits over two
years rather than scrambling at the deadline. Renew on time to avoid re-testing.
