The CMSRN rewards broad, practiced judgment more than deep memorization of any one disease.
This plan covers the whole role, weighted to where the MSNCB blueprint
spends its questions.

Anchor on Patient/Care Management

It’s 32% of the exam — the biggest slice. Make sure you’re solid on assessing and
managing common med-surg conditions, medication and fluid safety, and prioritization.

A simple 4-to-6 week plan

  1. Week 1 — baseline + core. Take a timed practice test, then start
    Patient/Care Management and prioritization/delegation logic.
  2. Weeks 2–3 — systems. Work through the common conditions by body
system, doing questions and reviewing rationales.
  3. Week 4 — the rest of the blueprint. Teamwork, interprofessional care,
holistic care, and professional concepts — over half the exam.
  4. Final week — simulate. Two full timed tests for pacing and stamina.

The tactic that works

Timed, scenario-based practice with a real review of every rationale. Our bank gives you 500+
CMSRN questions across 4 timed simulators for exactly that, plus a free sample to start.
