The C-NPT rewards transport thinking, not just bedside knowledge. This plan aims your time
where the NCC blueprint actually weights the exam.

Start where the points are

Transport Core Knowledge is 48% of the exam — nearly half. Master it first, especially
transport physiology (Boyle’s and other gas laws, the stressors of altitude and
motion), safety, and team communication. These concepts reappear across neonatal and pediatric
questions too.

A simple 4-to-6 week plan

  1. Week 1 — baseline + core. Take a timed practice test, then start
Transport Core Knowledge and transport physiology.
  2. Weeks 2–3 — neonatal. Stabilization (the S.T.A.B.L.E. approach),
thermoregulation, glucose, airway, and common neonatal conditions.
  3. Week 4 — pediatric. Airway sizing, respiratory failure, shock, and
    trauma in the older child.
  4. Final week — simulate. Two timed practice tests to lock in pacing
(about one minute per question) and stamina.

The tactic that moves the needle

Timed practice questions with a real review of every rationale. That’s how you turn
“I know this” into the fast, correct decisions the exam is testing. Our bank gives you 700+
C-NPT questions across 4 timed simulators for exactly that, plus a free sample to start.
